Dr. Di Bella specializes in medical oncology. He served as the medical director and president of RMCC from 1993 through 2010. Board certified in both medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Di Bella practices at RMCC’s Aurora location.
A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Di Bella earned his medical doctorate at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, California, and his residency in internal medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Di Bella then completed his fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and served as a colonel is the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
Dr. Di Bella is one of the founding physicians of the US Oncology network. Headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, US Oncology is affiliated with 1,400 community-based oncologists and works with patients, hospitals, payers and the medical industry across all phases of the cancer research and delivery continuum. Dr. Di Bella currently serves as the chairman of the Hematology Research Committee for US Oncology and is past chairman of the board for the Colorado Cancer Research Program. Dr. Di Bella has been recognized and honored with many awards, including the Outstanding Service Award given by US Oncology National Policy Board in February 2003 and the Special Service Award given by the Colorado Cancer Research Program in September 1999.
